2018 Dream Car Art Contest
Asco Motors launches 2018 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest
Asco Motors Fiji today launched the 2018 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. This is the second consecutive year for Asco Motors to participate in this global Contest. The competition is held globally to encourage and inspire creativity in children who are the future of this world.
The competition has been running globally for the last twelve years, with over 3 million entries received. The contest is divided into three categories based on the age of the children; under 7 years of age, 8 to 11 and 12 to 15 years. Three innovative drawings from each category will be submitted to Japan for the world contest. Last year, out of the submitted entries, Opeti Chambers a Class Four Student of Nadi Sangam Primary School won in the 8 to 11 in age category under the East Asia and Oceanic Competition. He had the opportunity to travel to Japan early this year with his father to attend the awards ceremony.
Speaking at the launch this morning, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Craig Sims noted that, “children have great imagination; and some of the global entries for 2017 in the same category include “The Suitcase Car” from Canada, “Save Our Earth Car” from Malaysia, and a “Toyota Car Rescue the Bomb”. It is amazing to see how children of the world use art to express their ideas. This year we hope to receive greater entries from children around Fiji”.
There is no fee associated in entering the contest. The artwork must be hand drawn with any paint medium including water paint, colour markers or crayon. Participants are encouraged to be creative in dreaming off a futuristic car with a background that supports the idea. The drawing will be viewed by a global audience and should appeal to people of diverse cultures.
The contest closes on February 2nd 2018 and more information about the criteria can be obtained from the Marketing Team at Asco Motors or simply send an email to email@example.com
